Rwandan President Paul Kagame received his Beninese counterpart, Romuald Wadagni, in Kigali on Wednesday at the start of a two-day official and working visit to Rwanda, the presidency announced.
Kagame welcomed Wadagni at Urugwiro Village, the seat of the Rwandan presidency, where the two heads of state began a one-on-one meeting.
This meeting marks the beginning of the Beninese president’s two-day official visit to Rwanda.
The two leaders are expected to discuss, among other things, bilateral relations and ways to strengthen cooperation between Benin and Rwanda.
The visit takes place against the backdrop of strengthening ties between the two countries to cooperate in spheres such as governance, investment, and development.
