Chadian Head of State President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno has departed N’Djamena for Paris to conduct a high-level working visit at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron.
The bilateral mission centers on evaluating and strengthening economic cooperation between N’Djamena and Paris, alongside advancing strategic dialogue on key regional and global security developments affecting Central Africa and the broader Sahel.
Scheduled for formal discussions at the Élysée Palace, the two heads of state aim to expand institutional partnerships across trade, development, and defense. Prior to his departure from Hassan Djamous International Airport, President Déby was officially seen off by a delegation of senior state leadership, including Prime Minister Allah-Maye Halina, the Chief of Defence Staff, cabinet ministers, and municipal officials, underscoring the diplomatic significance of the Paris talks for Chad’s foreign policy agenda.
