The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) is set to collaborate with Nigeria’s Sahara Group, a promoter of access to clean and safe energy solutions and sustainability, to promote energy access and sustainability.
According to the statement issued on Thursday in Abuja, the Sahara Group Executive Directors, Mrs Moroti Adedoyin-Adeyinka, Dr Kola Adesina, Mr Tope Shonubi, and Mr Wale Ajibade, paid a courtesy visit to the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPCL, Mr Bayo Ojulari, at the NNPCL Towers in Abuja.
It added that discussions at the meeting ranged from oil and gas to data and infrastructure, exploring how transparent and impact-driven partnerships can power a more sustainable energy future for Nigeria and beyond.
“With a clear mandate to transform NNPC into a global energy powerhouse, the GCEO (Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC, Bayo Ojulari) emphasised collaboration, innovation, and value creation.
“Sahara Group’s delegation assured the NNPCL GCEO of the company’s commitment to supporting the transformation of the sector as a foremost energy conglomerate operating and making a difference in Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East,” the statement said.
According to local media reports, the Sahara Group is an international conglomerate with operations in upstream, midstream, downstream, power, infrastructure, and the data/tech sector.
