Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is ramping up its operations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, scheduling more than 660 additional flights with the goal of transporting over half a million fans to Morocco.
The airline announced a capacity increase of more than 50 percent as part of its official partnership with the Confederation of African Football (CAF). The plan was confirmed during the launch of pre-registrations for the tournament, which will be hosted by Morocco next year.
According to RAM CEO Abdelhamid Addou, the special program will double the number of seats on routes from countries whose teams qualify, while also adding flights from European cities with large African diaspora communities. The initiative aims to make travel to Morocco easier not only for African supporters but also for Africans living abroad.
The airline will also operate an expanded domestic network to transport national teams between host cities.
Special offers are planned for diaspora fans transiting through Casablanca, with the airline hoping to turn stopovers into opportunities to attend matches.
