South Africa’s Romanda Hombir has been crowned Miss World Africa 2026 at the 73rd Miss World grand finale in Vietnam’s Nha Trang on Saturday evening.
Hombir, a 27-year-old clinical audiologist and community health advocate from Mpumalanga, reached the Top 6 at the finale.
The Miss World finale also saw notable milestones for Africa. Eritrea’s Snit Habteab Tewoldemedhin reached the Top 6, marking Eritrea’s debut at Miss World.
Tewoldemedhin, a 27-year-old neuroscience graduate and educator, earned her spot on the leaderboard after winning the global fan vote with more than 13 million votes.
The overall Miss World title was won by Joheirry Mola of the Dominican Republic.
