Moroccan rider Ouaddar Abdelkebir won the Mohammed VI Grand Prix on Sunday in Rabat, simultaneously securing the title of Moroccan Senior Show Jumping Champion at the 41st edition of Horse Week.
Riding “Chacsara,” representing the Princess Lalla Fatima Zohra Equestrian Center, Ouaddar Abdelkebir triumphed after a two-round final at the Dar Es Salam arena, according to a statement from the Royal Moroccan Equestrian Sports Federation (FRMSE).
He finished ahead of Mohammed Azoum, riding “Sienna AEG” from the R.C.S.E Dar Es Salam, who took the silver medal, while Ghali Boukaa, riding “Ike 1348” from the Etrier de Casablanca, completed the podium, winning the bronze medal.
“At the end of this final day of the competition, the Federation’s president, Charif Moulay Abdallah Alaoui, officially presented the trophies and medals to the Kingdom’s new champions,” the FRMSE stated in its press statement.
In the under-13 Category, the Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan Prize was awarded to Faysal Bicha, riding “D’Angel La Tuilerie,” representing Étrier de Casablanca.
The young rider secured victory with a double clear round in 35.93 seconds during the jump-off.
Mehdi Zahrane, riding “Eline” from Bouskoura Equestrian City, won the silver medal with four penalty points in the jump-off, finishing in 36.29 seconds.
Farouk Bensalah, riding “Con Tenor” from Etrier de Casablanca, took the bronze medal after a jump-off completed with four penalty points in 36.56 seconds.
The 41st edition of Horse Week, “brought together nearly 400 rider-horse pairs involved in 20 show jumping and dressage championships,” the FRMSE indicated in its press statement, at the end of this 2026 edition of Horse Week.
