China delivered 1,770 tonnes of rice to Chad on Tuesday as part of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
The ceremony for the ha ndover of the 1,770 tonnes of rice to Chad was held in the presence of the Minister of Social Action, Solidarity, and Humanitarian Affairs, Zara Mahamat Issa, and the Chinese Ambassador to Chad, Wang Xining.
This food donation is intended for vulnerable populations, including displaced persons, refugees, and communities affected by climatechange and economic hardship.
Minister Zara Mahamat Issa expressed the Chadian government’s gratitude to Beijing, describing the gesture as “concrete solidarity” that reflects the friendship and enduring partnership
between the two nations.
The distribution of the rice will be managed by the National Food Security Office (ONASA), which is responsible for ensuring transparent and equitable aid management.
