The Chief Operating Officer of a Nigerian airline, Enugu Air, Mr. Ugonna Agubuokwu, says that the airline will on Wedneday, September 23, launch direct international flights between Enugu and Douala in Cameroon to strengthen regional air connectivity.
Mr. Agubuokwu said in a statement on Sunday in Lagos that the new route would bring businesses, families and opportunities in Nigeria and Cameroon closer together.
According to him, the service will operate twice weekly, on Mondays and Wednesdays and that passengers travelling from Lagos and Abuja could connect to Douala through Enugu.
“This is more than the introduction of a new route. It is about creating stronger connections between Nigeria and Cameroon,” he said.
Agubuokwu said that the route would make regional travel more accessible, convenient and seamless for passengers.
He said that flights from Enugu would depart at 12:45 p.m. and arrive in Douala at 1:45 p.m.
According to him, return flights would depart Douala at 2:30 p.m. and arrive in Enugu at 3:30 p.m.
He explained that the schedule is designed to facilitate convenient connections for passengers originating from Lagos and Abuja.
“Africa is closer than you think for business, opportunity and for the connections that matter,” he said.
Agubuokwu said that the new route would expand Enugu Air’s regional network and provide another air link between southeastern Nigeria and Cameroon.
He added that the Enugu-Douala connection is part of the airline’s efforts to make regional travel more seamless and connected.
